X-ray studies

X-ray examination is used to assess the condition of many organs and body systems. In the clinic, x-rays are taken with a digital x-ray machine, so the examination is fast and the x-ray image is immediately visible on the computer screen.

X-ray examination checks the condition of lungs, heart, digestive tract, bones, joints and diagnoses existing pathologies. X-ray contrast material can also be used to help diagnose diseases of the digestive tract.

X-ray examination is performed without or with sedation. Examination with sedation is required in case of trauma. In order to perform the most accurate and high-quality X-ray examination, the animal is positioned in various positions. These actions can cause pain and be unpleasant for the animal. Also, sedation is applied when the animal shows aggression and there is a danger to the owner and the clinic staff.
